How far is the hotel from the Main Market Square?
The hotel is just 350 metres from the Main Market Square — about a 5-minute walk.
Best Western Plus Kraków Old Town sits at ul. Świętej Gertrudy 6, in the very heart of Kraków's Old Town. Wawel Castle (approx. 500 m) and the atmospheric Kazimierz district (approx. 1 km) are also a short stroll away — an ideal base for exploring Kraków on foot.
Can I bring a pet to the hotel?
Yes, the hotel is pet-friendly.
Staying with your pet involves an additional fee of PLN 40 per night, with no restrictions on the size, number or type of animal. Please let our reception know in advance if you are travelling with a pet — we will prepare the room for your companion.
How do I get from Kraków-Balice airport to the hotel?
Kraków-Balice Airport (John Paul II) is about 15 km from the hotel.
The most convenient way is by public transport — in two ways:
- Bus + tram (approx. 30–35 min): bus no. 300 from the airport to the “Muzeum Narodowe” stop (approx. 19 min), then tram no. 8 towards Borek Fałęcki to the “św. Gertrudy” stop (approx. 7 min) and a 1-minute walk (32 m) to the hotel.
- Train (approx. 35–40 min): from the Kraków Lotnisko station (about a 5-minute walk from the terminal) take the KML train towards Wieliczka Rynek-kopalnia to the Kraków Grzegórzki station (approx. 23 min), then about a 10-minute walk.
A direct taxi or car ride from the airport usually takes 25–30 minutes.
